MAJORITY OF UK HYPNOTHERAPISTS AND TRAINERS NOW REPRESENTED FOR THE FIRST TIME BY ONE ALLIANCE

After substantial discussions, the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC), General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and Hypnotherapy Society (HS) are delighted to announce an alliance of mutual recognition which represents the most substantial unification of the profession ever seen, and a huge step forward on the path of voluntary self-regulation (VSR).

Agreement has been reached on the mutual recognition of their respective members and membership entry schemes at the appropriate grades and cooperation agreed on matters of training, ethics, complaints and discipline. Further initiatives could include the development of a joint research database, joint conferences etc. This alliance represents by far the greater portion of the profession for the first time in its history, jointly affiliating some 26 professional bodies, 104 training organizations and thus representing approximately 4000 practising therapists.
